What if...
you could no longer function
the way you have all your life.

What if...
everything you once knew about yourself
was suddenly stripped away.

What if...
no one could tell you what was wrong.

Regaining Consciousness:
My Encounter with Mild Brain Injury—
The Silent Epidemic

with Foreword by Gail L. Denton, PhD, author of BRAINLASH:
Maximize Your Recovery from Mild Brain Injury

This book represents my experiences with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI).
It is written so
that people can understand how easily this type of injury happens, how deeply it affects a person, and how prevalent mTBI actually is in today’s society. mTBI is a closed head injury, an injury that is not readily recognizable, but the effects on a person’s life are profound—and can last a lifetime.

In an effort to help others better understand, this book was written to:
1. raise awareness of mild and moderate brain injuries
2. help those who are brain injured but undiagnosed
3. give voice to those who are challenged because of a brain injury
4. help those who are diagnosed to know it is possible to live well
in spite of a mild or moderate brain injury.

"This book is remarkable in several ways.
It is better than a PhD Thesis
